Great stuff, I am DLing now.

I was lucky enough to catch Jerry/John accoustic for 2 shows in 1 night at Mackey Aud on the CU campus in Boulder. The thing I really loved about it was how intimate it was. Mackey is an old style theater with a balcony and box seats to the side. It was such a treat to see Jerry sitting on a stool, with his Accoustic guitar with John to his right and a little behind him with his standup, it was so simple, no bells and whistles. The scene was so different than other Dead/JG shows in that the crowd was quiet, relaxed and respectful, there was no shouting out songs, everyone stayed seated and was focused on the music. I think everyone really appreciated how special it was and wanted to soak it up and savor every moment. It remains one of my top moments and fondest memories of Jerry

I was listening to one of the Jerry Compilations (which if you haven't downloaded the set of 9 you definately should- they're on bt.etree.org)and he was singing Masterpiece and it was like, if it shouldn't have been you singing it instead of Bobby, they could have alternated either show to show or verse to verse. Every once and a while you'll hear him bellowing "when I paiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiint" behind Bob. Now it would make sense that maybe he was really into the tune cause he'd sing it himself.

JodyC ... those 9 Jerry compilations you refer to. Do you mean the Jerry Ballads that were seeded at etree? I only got 1-8. Was there a 9th? If you have a 9th i'd love to trade you for it. I've got a sweet Pigpen Mix if you don't have it:

Jody, that 9 CD Set and the Masterpiece are both amazing, thanks again. Yes, I think it would have been a wonderful idea to trade verses on that tune. I do love it when Jerry came in behind Bob - he was always stoked when he did.
